Jackson was born in July of 2005 to Bryan & Jennifer Smith. He is a resident of Rutherford County, North Carolina where his family has resided for at least 8 generations. He is the youngest of two children, his older sister, Madison was born in March of 2002.
Jackson's love of music began at an early age. He credits his paternal grandmother, Janice Smith, and his great-grandmother, Martha Beard for his love of the music. Janice drove Jackson each morning to preschool and would play gospel music on the CD players in the vehicle which got Jackson hooked from a young age. His great-grandmother, Martha would play VHS tapes of local singers when he would spend time with her.
What started as a love for music soon became a life's calling when in June 2019 he stepped into the Gospel Music Ministry.
Jackson first sang at Crestview Baptist Church in Forest City, where his family has been rooted since his great-great-grandparents. Outside of Crestview, the first church he did a full program at was Fellowship Baptist Church in Golden Valley, NC. It is a small mountain church with no power, his sound system was powered by a generator. From that September day in 2019, Jackson had no clue what the future in Gospel Music would hold for him.
Since then he has been able to sing in over 20 states. He has recorded 4 solo albums & several albums with groups. The journey began as a small one, but as the old song says "Little is Much When God is in it!"
The journey still continues today and Jackson looks forward to what lies ahead, while looking back at God's goodness throughout the entirety of the journey.
Jackson's latest CD, entitled "Looking Back" is available now in the store.
It includes a collection of 11 songs he has sang throughout his time on the road.
All proceeds go to furthering the ministry.
